This is The Swan, loaded with 862.5 lbs. of #superdough. The vehicle is white, with black accents, hence the name.
There’s a bit more to it. My previous minivan, a
2006 Dodge Caravan was gold in colour. In some weird sense, (and I am a
writer), it was the goose that laid the golden eggs—follow along with the
reasoning, (or what passes for reasoning in this town), I naturally called it The Golden Goose. All those little golden eggs going down the road...right? I get paid for my time, and I need to get back and forth. A delivery pays three hours...I know how many dough-balls are in there. I know the price. I write the freakin' invoice, (another name for the conscience), but that is a story for another day.
Ah, but it was also
ugly—real ugly. There came a point when the mechanics weren't all that eager to fix it, hemming and hawing on the phone and asking me if I really wanted to throw all that money into a vehicle that wasn't worth two grand...and they were right, too.
As the reader will recall, the ugly duckling eventually grew up into a beautiful swan. Remember that? Everyone was making fun of him, (or her), and then one day they sort of morphed into their adult form.
She’s got a bit of a personality, I will tell you that much, but then, vehicles have all sorts of psychological problems these days. It’s all them chips, all them modules and a computer to do every little thing. Truth is, I have my #car_psychiatrist on speed dial.
